Welcome to the UBD
Botanical Research Centre

The UBD Botanical Research Centre (UBD BRC) is recognized as the first botanic garden in Brunei Darussalam, focusing on research, education and conservation of Brunei’s hyperdiverse flora. Our Botanical Garden covers a six-hectare area on the UBD campus and is home to over 500 species of tropical plants, many of which are native to Brunei Darussalam and Borneo. The UBD BRC functions as a research centre under the management of the Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Research (IBER) of UBD, focuses on research and is a member of the Botanic Garden Conservation International (BGCI).
