Evergreen shrub or small tree growing up to 5 m tall. Leaves are simple, arranged alternately, glossy, hairy or glabrous and dark green. Leaf blade is ovate-elliptical to lanceolate, shortly acuminate at apex, cuneate at Ease Zith toothed or Àne margin and pinnate venation. Stems are much-branching. Barks are rough, brownish-grey, smooth becoming Àssured Zhen mature.
