Terrestrial small tree or shrub that can reach 16 m in height. Leaves are simple, alternately arranged, pale green and subglabrous at both surfaces. Leaf blade is elliptic to obovate, acute to shortly acuminate at apex, cuneate at base with entire margin and pinnate venation. Stems are glabrous to ver\ sparsel\ hair\.
